The legal industry is faced with a crisis surrounding mental health and well being. From lawyers to business professionals, dealmakers to solos, judges to legal tech, there isn’t a pocket of the profession that doesn’t have experience with how their work environments contribute to their well-being. We will bring our yearlong Minds Over Matters project to life in this session, hearing personal experiences, learning what is being done to address the problem and teasing out hurdles and opportunities to discussing and improving mental health and well-being in the law.

This session will discuss:

  • Personal journeys involving mental health in the profession

  • Debates on the root causes 

  • Solutions to addressing both the stigma and the causes

  • The ways in which different stakeholders come at the issue
