Kathleen Mahieu is the Lead Business Consultant for Strategy and Innovation for Aetna Behavioral Health. In her role, she develops initiatives and partnerships that advance our strategy and drive innovation and growth. Within the business, Kathleen works to design, refine, and implement creative solutions that improve the member experience, expand access to care, broaden integrated medical/behavioral solutions, and improve health outcomes.
Kathleen leads Aetna Behavioral Health’s digital strategy with an emphasis on strategic partnerships that differentiate and advance innovation and transformation in behavioral health care delivery. She oversees behavioral health product development and market and consumer insights that inform and guide innovation. Kathleen facilitates plan sponsor and provider leadership forums to collaborate on new products, solutions, and approaches that promote the delivery of quality behavioral health care.
Kathleen also serves on Aetna’s Federal Mental Health Parity Task Force. As part of the cross-functional leadership team, she helps interpret parity compliance rules and supports the business to assess and ensure compliance with state and federal parity regulations.
