Isobel advises individuals, family offices and trustees on tax, trust and succession issues, with extensive experience working on cross-border matters and structuring involving family-owned businesses. She has a particular interest in matters with a US aspect.

Isobel advises UK resident, domiciled and non-domiciled clients on their personal tax issues, including on planning to be undertaken when moving to or from the UK. She also advises clients with no significant UK connections on trust and succession issues and regularly co-ordinates multi-jurisdictional teams of advisers. She has extensive experience advising both UK and non-UK based families on family office structures.

In 2012, Isobel spent six months on secondment with the trusts and estates group of a New York-based international law firm and has developed a good understanding of the tax and estate planning issues facing clients with US connections.

Isobel is a member of the firm’s technology group and has a particular interest advising entrepreneurs in this space, especially in relation to the tax and succession issues around founder-owned business and new types of digital assets.
