Philippa is currently General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Shell’s Trading and Supply businesses, based in London. The team comprises seventy lawyers with global reach advising on all aspects of legal and regulatory work covering the trading of hydrocarbons, shipping and supply including global haulage for the Shell group.

Previously Philippa was Associate General Counsel for Shell’s Integrated Gas business (2013-2016), based in Singapore. The team comprised around fifty lawyers predominantly based in Singapore, The Hague, Australia, Qatar, Russia and China. During this time Philippa was the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Board of Shell Todd Oil Services, the then largest operating company in New Zealand.

Prior to joining Shell in 2005, Philippa worked for eleven years in private practice (Shearman & Sterling, Simmons & Simmons) based in London advising on international structured financings and acquisition and disposal work.
