This session will uncover how the brain remembers and holds onto lasting impressions that stick - and also why the brain forgets so much.  Since the theme of the conference is ‘Leaders of our Own Legacy’ this session will explore what leaving a legacy actually means from a neuroscientific point of view and what we can do to be remembered in the way that we would like.

In conversation with Chemmy Alcott, Damon will draw parallels between the world of motorsport and the world of business by discussing how he instilled the drive and determination to navigate risk, competition and the focus required to win

Setting and still holding the British records in the 800m and 1500m, Colonel Dame Kelly Holmes MBE is an Olympic, Commonwealth and European champion that has achieved seven Gold, eight Silver and four Bronze medals throughout her career. This includes her double win in the 800m and 1500m at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, becoming the first Briton in over 80 years to do so. In her keynote, Kelly will discuss what it takes to become an Olympian and will share the tools she used to remain resilient and overcome adversity.
