Entries must convince the judges that they provided exceptional service to a client or number of clients over the past 12-18 months.

The judges will expect to see evidence of:
- Specific cases where a client was facing a crisis and needed careful guidance from their lawyers
- The scale of the threat posed by the crisis
- Innovative advice provided
- Media strategies that were put in place to help manage the client’s reputation
- Steps taken on social media to help the client’s reputation

The submission should highlight cases and information that best exemplify the firm's performance. Objective data and research that support the entry will be looked on favourably by the judges. Individual Awards

Open to General Counsel and Chief Legal Officers. Only one entry is permitted for each firm/company.

Entry criteria:
This award recognises General Counsel who, through their effective leadership, had significant accomplishments this past year. As just a few examples, such accomplishments may include growing the legal department’s head count or expanding the scope of its duties; significantly reducing legal spend or successfully completing a major undertaking such as a corporate merger or acquisition. We’re looking for dynamic leaders who have partnered with their companies and with their outside counsel to find ways to add value and to transform their legal departments from cost centers to business units.

The judges will be looking for evidence of:

- Contribution to the wider community

Individual Awards

This award aims to celebrate the importance of mentoring in the industry by highlighting one person who has supported an individual throughout the year to help them achieve success in the profession, or has a track record of mentoring people throughout their career.

Eligibility
Open to individuals who have mentored a person during the last year or have a proven track record of mentoring.

Entry Criteria
Entries must convince judges that they have mentored an individual during the year to help them achieve success in several areas, or have a proven track record of mentoring individuals in the past.

The judges will expect to see evidence of how the entrant has mentored individuals. Please include details of: how you structured your mentorship, how often you met/ spoke to your mentee, how you identified your mentee’s aims, how you supported them in specific areas, what they have achieved with your support.

The submission should include the following details:
  1. Your profile - provide a brief profile and details of any mentor positions you have held.
  2. Strategy and milestones - how you have viewed and structured your mentor responsibilities. Why is being a mentor important to you? How have you supported mentees? What opportunities have you introduced them to?
  3. Please provide a supporting statement by an individual you have mentored.
