Asina C. Gant is Vice President of Legal, Corporate Affairs, Commercial, and Compliance at Annexon Biosciences, a clinical-stage biotechnology company in the Bay Area focused on developing therapies for neurodegenerative, autoimmune, and ophthalmic diseases. Drawing on deep experience across the life sciences sector, she provides strategic legal and business guidance spanning the full product lifecycle—from research and clinical trials to commercial launch and post-market support. Her areas of focus include regulatory compliance, healthcare law, market access, patient support, and trademark portfolio management.
Prior to Annexon, Asina held key legal roles at Actelion Pharmaceuticals, a biotechnology company focused on rare diseases, where she helped guide its integration into Janssen/Johnson & Johnson following its acquisition. She later joined Aimmune Therapeutics, where she supported the launch of the first FDA approved treatment for peanut allergy and contributed to the company’s acquisition by Nestlé Health Science. Earlier in her career, she practiced litigation at Barnes & Thornburg LLP and spent over eight years as Assistant General Counsel at the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America.
Asina is deeply committed to community advocacy. She serves as a volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate with Dallas CASA, supporting the rights of children in foster care, and has also volunteered with the Campaign for the Fair Sentencing of Youth, Florence Crittenton’s INSPIRE program, and Make-A-Wish Arizona.
