Nancy Godinho Everett serves as General Counsel for the JLL Foundation and as Americas General Counsel, Real Estate Management Services, at Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) where she leads a team of more than 15 attorneys across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. In her role, she provides strategic counsel on governance, data privacy, and enterprise risk mitigation while implementing legal policies and training programs to ensure consistency across global operations.
Everett brings over fifteen years of experience navigating complex governance and compliance challenges across corporate, finance, real estate, and nonprofit sectors to her legal practice, with a proven track record of aligning legal operations with organizational goals. Prior to JLL, she served in multiple leadership roles at Root Capital Inc., a nonprofit agricultural finance company, including General Counsel and Chief Talent Officer, where she advised executive leadership and the Board of Directors on enterprise risk and compliance while leading global HR supporting employees in over 12 countries. Prior to Root Capital, Everett practiced restructuring and finance law at two Am Law 100 law firms.
She earned her Juris Doctor from The University of Chicago Law School and holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Political Science and Portuguese from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Everett is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Massachusetts and is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
