Franca Maiorano-Hobbs, Esq. serves as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for University Radiology Group, LLC, where she oversees all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters for one of the region's leading radiology practices. As a trusted member of the Senior Leadership Team, she provides strategic counsel on a broad range of corporate, operational, healthcare regulatory, employment, and governance issues.

Mrs. Maiorano-Hobbs graduated summa cum laude from St. John's University and earned her Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, Massachusetts, and New York.

Following law school, Mrs. Maiorano-Hobbs entered private practice, concentrating in civil litigation with a focus on medical malpractice defense. This experience provided a strong foundation in healthcare law, risk management, and litigation strategy, which she continues to draw upon in her current role.

Since joining University Radiology in 2006 as General Counsel and later assuming the additional role of Chief Compliance Officer, Mrs. Maiorano-Hobbs has played a pivotal role in the organization's growth and success. She has led and managed numerous mergers, acquisitions, and strategic affiliations; negotiated complex hospital, radiology service, physician employment, and professional services agreements; and overseen the legal aspects of financing transactions, insurance programs, employment matters, and litigation management. Her responsibilities also include the review and negotiation of payor agreements, equipment procurement and service contracts, the drafting and negotiation of commercial real estate and office leases, and Department of Health licensure matters.

In her compliance leadership role, Mrs. Maiorano-Hobbs developed and implemented the organization's comprehensive compliance program and continues to oversee its ongoing administration. She works closely with leadership, physicians, and staff to promote a culture of ethics, integrity, accountability, and compliance with applicable federal and state healthcare laws and regulations.

Beyond her executive responsibilities, Mrs. Maiorano-Hobbs is recognized for her contributions to legal and medical education. She co-authored the article "Malpractice Litigation in Spinal Surgery-Lessons from Real-World Cases and Recommendations for Risk Reduction," published in the Journal of Clinical Spine Surgery, and regularly lectures radiology residents on medical malpractice litigation, healthcare risk management, and the negotiation of physician employment agreements. Through these educational efforts, she helps prepare future physicians to navigate the legal and business aspects of modern medical practice.

Throughout her tenure, Mrs. Maiorano-Hobbs has been a key contributor to University Radiology's strategic development, helping the organization navigate an increasingly complex healthcare environment while supporting its mission of delivering exceptional patient care, clinical excellence, and organizational integrity.
