Sophia Lee leads all legal, policy and regulatory matters for Altus Power, where she serves as a member of the executive team and leads complex transactions, including M&A, tax equity, and structured financings , while navigating federal and state policy frameworks to support scalable growth across the company’s national portfolio of commercial-scale solar assets.

Sophia’s experience spans early-stage through public markets, from governance, capital markets and IP strategy, to employment matters and equity plan design. Prior to joining Altus Power, Sophia was General Counsel of IEX, where she led the highly-scrutinized SEC approval process to become a national securities exchange designed to level the playing field for long-term investors. Prior to that, Sophia was Deputy General Counsel of Liquidnet, where she worked with global regulators to launch regulated trading platforms across multiple jurisdictions. Sophia started her legal career as a Mergers & Acquisitions Associate at Paul Weiss. Sophia has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from M.I.T. and a JD from NYU Law and is a registered attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and a Chartered Financial Analyst.
