Carolyn leads LHH’s national strategy for in-house legal talent solutions, focused on building and scaling our corporate legal practice for 2026 and beyond.
With over a decade of experience in attorney search, Carolyn brings deep expertise in retained and contingent in-house legal recruiting. She began her career practicing law in public interest and labor & employment, moved into corporate restructuring at Skadden, and later served as Associate General Counsel at Brunswick Corporation, where she developed a passion for partnering with corporate legal teams.
Carolyn transitioned into legal search in 2011, working with legal boutiques before joining Lucas Group as Managing Partner, Legal, where she grew a successful practice and built a high-performing team. Following Korn Ferry’s acquisition in 2021, she served as Sector Leader, Legal Center of Expertise, leading retained in-house and nonprofit legal placements. Carolyn has worked extensively with corporate clients across a range of industries including Consumer Products, Financial Services, Hospitality, Insurance, and Manufacturing, among others. Carolyn works with corporations, both public and private, as well as non-profits to place attorneys in a wide range of positions from General Counsel/Chief Legal Officer to Counsel and in compliance roles ranging from Chief Compliance Officer to Manager/Individual Contributor levels. Carolyn’s experience in legal practice and recruiting allows her to offer her clients and candidates unique insights to make matches that lead to long-term success. She approaches each engagement as a partnership that starts before and continues during and after the search process.
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, Carolyn is based in Chicago and brings a client-centered approach and passion for delivering excellence that aligns with LHH’s values.
