Robin Sanders is Chief Privacy Official and Assistant General Counsel for Data and Privacy at the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association. Robin’s responsibilities include providing strategic counseling on a wide range of data strategy and privacy matters, as well as managing a litigation portfolio that includes multiple cybersecurity class actions. As part of Robin’s counseling practice, she works with stakeholders across Blue Cross Blue Shield Association on their collection, use and maintenance of personal information and data.
Prior to joining BCBSA in 2012, Robin was an attorney at Jorden Burt LLP, where she represented the financial services industry in class actions and complex commercial litigation on subjects ranging from ERISA to consumer fraud and sales practices. Robin is a former chair of the ABA-TIPS Life Insurance Law Committee and Vice Chair of the DRI Life, Health, Disability and ERISA Committee. She received her law degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and is a graduate of the University of Miami.
