Lauren Fisher (IP & Digital Breakout) is Chief Legal Officer at Vox Media, LLC. Lauren has been with Vox Media for 12 years and has advised the company and led the Legal Team as it has expanded to a dozen distinct media brands across all digital platforms (including the New York Media properties which became part of Vox Media late last year), launched groundbreaking new digital advertising products, entered the complex world of television and entertainment programming, and added New York Media and its businesses - including New York Magazine - to its portfolio. Prior to joining Vox Media, Lauren spent 7 years working at AOL where she led the team that managed wide-ranging intellectual property matters, complex technology deals, and various aspects of new media law.

Lauren has served as the co-chair of the MLRC Committee on Copyrights and Trademarks for the past couple of years and is also a member of the Program Committee for the Entertainment & Media General Counsel Forum. She is also working with the ABA Media and Communications Law Committee and the MLRC to increase diversity at all levels of the Media Bar. She is a frequent speaker on issues involving intellectual property rights, digital media, and scaling legal support in a high-growth environment.

Lauren holds her J.D. from the University of Chicago where she was a published member of the law review, and her B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania where she majored in political history and concentrated on marketing and economics at The Wharton School.
