Dan Lantry is a business lawyer, focused on healthcare transactions and regulatory matters, who helps organizations create sustainable enterprise value. Throughout the course of his career, he has advised clients on numerous M&A transactions as both external deal counsel and in-house. As in-house counsel, he has been involved in each stage of the M&A life cycle, from letter of intent through post-closing integration.

Dan is Vice President, Associate General Counsel at the American Medical Association. Prior to joining the AMA in 2018, Mr. Lantry has served in positions of increasing responsibility in healthcare, life sciences and healthcare services companies, including Kaiser Permanente, Covidien, Baxter Healthcare Corporation and Sterigenics International, LLC (now Sotera Health, LLC) where he served as SVP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.

Mr. Lantry grew up in Southern California, received a B.S. in Economics (with high honors) from the University of California, Riverside and his law degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Mr. Lantry began his career in private practice, including with the Healthcare practice of McDermott, Will & Emery, first as an associate and then partner. Outside of work, Dan is active in various philanthropic and cultural organizations, enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.
