Name
Dissecting Healthcare M&A: The Rise of Non-Traditional Transactions
Date & Time
Tuesday, May 21, 2019, 11:15 AM - 12:15 PM
Description

Most people only think about healthcare transactions in terms of buying and selling part or all of a healthcare business. Many lawyers specialize in healthcare, and many others specialize in transactions, however as healthcare law covers a wide range of practices, transactions are only one aspect of it. Furthermore, healthcare transaction lawyers also handle joint ventures, strategic alliances, partnerships and real estate. This session will uncover these unique types of transactions occurring within the healthcare industry -- for example, the CVS acquisition of Aetna, or how larger health systems are acquiring smaller physician groups -- and discuss how and why “non-traditional” transactions are becoming the norm.
