Connect with top in-house lawyers all in one room.

Participate in a real-world pitch scenario to in-house counsel.

A not-to-be missed event that supports women in the legal profession by providing a forum for skill enhancement and community building. Whether you’re new to the work of pitching clients – or want to test your skills – Perfecting Your Pitch is an opportunity to connect with top in-house lawyers, establish relationships, train for real-word pitch delivery and perfect your presentation skills.

Met with rave reviews, law firms send teams of up to five lawyers who will pitch to panels of senior in-house counsel in response to a fictional fact pattern. The fact pattern, provided in advance, opens up a full range of legal and business issues, making this even ideal for cross-disciplinary teams.

Pitch sessions will last roughly one hour and each team has the opportunity to present to two separate panels. In-house panelists will ask probing questions and provide feedback on the type of presentations and issue spotting they look for in real work scenarios.

Roundtable Sessions - During the event, participants may opt to join a roundtable discussion.

The half-day program will culminate with a general session recap luncheon providing for an exchange of perspectives and the making of new connections. During this lunch, we’ll hear from a range of in-house lawyers on the dos and don’ts of pitching as our facilitator asks each in-house panel to share their observations. We want you to focus on establishing professional connections, so the ALM team will be on hand to capture all the advice in a tip sheet shared exclusively to participating teams.
