The Institute for Well-Being in Law (IWIL) is dedicated to fostering a culture of well-being within the legal profession. Our mission is to promote mental health, resilience, and sustainable careers in law. With a focus on policy and advocacy, IWIL leads national strategy and direction, and serves as the central support hub for local efforts across the nation. In this role, IWIL has undertaken several initiatives, including supporting data collection to drive effective strategies for enhancing well-being and reducing burnout in the profession. Additionally, IWIL has championed the removal of intrusive mental health questions from multiple state bar applications, helping to reduce fear and stigma, and contributing to the development of thriving lawyers.
