Sandra Tsao serves as the General Counsel and Company Secretary of Mandai Wildlife Group, where she leads the legal, compliance, personal data protection and board governance functions in supporting the Group’s diverse initiatives.

In her role, Sandra works closely with colleagues across the Group to care for the 126-hectare Mandai Wildlife Reserve, develop new nature-based experiences under the Mandai Rejuvenation Project, and support Mandai X’s innovations and ventures. Her day-to-day work also extends to contributing to Mandai Nature’s regional conservation efforts across Southeast Asia.

With over thirty years of experience across different facets of the law, Sandra’s career includes foundational years as a Deputy Public Prosecutor and State Counsel, tenures as a corporate partner in various Singapore and international firms, and senior in-house roles at Marina Bay Sands and Changi Airports International. She has been noted as a leading corporate M&A practitioner in Singapore in legal directories since the mid-2000s. Dual-qualified and having practiced in Singapore and London, she strives to bring a well-rounded perspective as an inhouse counsel.

Sandra read law at the National University of Singapore (NUS) under a PSC Open Merit Scholarship, completed an LLM in International Commercial Law with NUS and the University of Nottingham, and is a London Business School Sloan Fellow with a Sloan Masters in Leadership and Strategy. She has recently completed IMD Business School’s Mastering Board Governance Programme.

Prior to joining Mandai, she authored LexisNexis’ Annotations to the Singapore Securities and Futures Act, which was published in October 2022.
