John has nearly 30 years of experience advising companies on all aspects of their capital market communications and financial and professional services firms on how to build and protect their brands.

He has worked extensively on domestic and cross border M&A, restructuring projects, IPOs and spin offs as well as activism and shareholder disputes. He co-founded Smithfield and led the buy-out of the business from Chime Communications plc and its sale to Edelman in 2015.

John is a graduate of University College London and a guest lecturer on Investor Relations and crisis communications at the London Business School.
