What has been the highlight of your practice over the past 12 months?
Obtaining orders for the appointment of a provisional liquidator of a solvent company, then in turn its winding up on the just and equitable ground. This made new law.
Advising the liquidators of Landsbanki Guernsey (Deloitte) over the course of an 8-year administration and liquidation. This concluded in 2017 with a net return to creditors of 92%.
Retained to provide expert evidence on Guernsey insolvency law in an English High Court claim valued at £148 million.
Instructed with Mishcon de Reya on behalf of NAMA to investigate and pursue a Bankrupt's Guernsey assets.

On any given matter Christian advises on matters of strategy, settles Court papers and takes the lead in any Court appearances.
