David Horrigan is Relativity’s discovery counsel and legal education director, and he serves also as adjunct professor of law at Duquesne University's Thomas R. Kline School of Law, David is the recipient of the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) and the 2025 Mattie Belle Davis Award from the National Association of Women Judges (NAWJ). David has served as an in-house counsel as well as reporter and assistant editor at The National Law Journal. Before joining Relativity in 2015, David served as analyst and counsel at 451 Research. The author and co-author of law review articles as well as over 500 articles and reports on the law, David is also author of the annual Data Discovery Legal Year in Review, and he has been a frequent contributor to ALM's Legaltech News for 25 years. His articles have appeared also in The American Lawyer, Corporate Counsel, The New York Law Journal, Texas Lawyer, The Washington Examiner, and others, and he has been cited by media, including American Public Media’s Marketplace, TechRepublic, and The Wall Street Journal. David serves on the Resource Board of the National Association of Women Judges, the Global Advisory Board of ACEDS, the Planning Committee of the University of Florida E-Discovery Conference. David is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia, and he is an IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional/US.
