Julie Angell is New York-based attorney and business affairs executive at the global talent agency WME. She has over 25 years of experience in the media and entertainment industries.
Currently, she manages the business affairs team at WME’s Harry Walker Agency, which is the world’s preeminent speaker’s representation group. For 75 years, Harry Walker Agency has connected audiences with the world’s most influential voices across media, music, sports, and politics, including former heads of state, Nobel laureates, Oscar winners, bestselling authors, economists, world-class athletes, chefs, journalists and other multi-hyphenates whose insights inspire audiences around the world.
Previously, Julie spent more than 15 years in private legal practice, representing talented individuals and companies in film, theater, television, digital media, books, advertising and other innovative industries on a full range of entertainment and corporate transactions. She worked many years at the boutique entertainment firm Franklin, Weinrib, Rudell & Vassallo and before that at Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz, PC. In 2021 she was recognized as one of the “Best Lawyers in America” in film and television. She was also named a Super Lawyer “Rising Star” (2016-2018) in the field of entertainment and sports.
Julie graduated from Georgetown law school and started her legal career at Torys LLP, where she practiced international corporate law.
Prior to law school, Julie was an account manager at Edelman, providing strategic marketing advice to some of the world's top consumer brands.
Julie graduated from Princeton University where she was co-captain of the Ivy League-championship varsity basketball team.
Julie and her husband enjoy a busy family life in Brooklyn with three small children, where they also volunteer for Saint Saviour Catholic Academy.
