Alex Ponce de Leon is a strategic leader in discovery and litigation with over 25 years of experience spanning law, government, and change management. He currently crafts and implements advanced discovery strategies for Google [X], spearheading initiatives that radically reduce costs and mitigate legal risk.

Previously, Alex spent over a decade as Senior Counsel and Team Manager at Google, where he pioneered discovery frameworks for high-stakes litigation and intricate legal workflows. Before Google, he served as Senior Litigation Counsel at Intel, earning the prestigious Intel Achievement Award for his leadership.

Alex’s diverse career includes roles as a litigator at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, a policy advisor to the California State Legislature, and a change management consultant for Accenture. Additionally, he serves on the Board of the Association of Corporate Counsel San Francisco Chapter and is a member of Sedona Working Group 13 on Artificial Intelligence and the Law. Alex holds a BA from Brown University, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and a JD from Northwestern University School of Law.
