Lydia Flocchini is the Founder & CEO of Scarab Strategies & Motion to Scale, the first legal tech category design and go-to-market advisory firm purpose-built to help founders create new categories and markets that transform the legal industry. She serves as an advisor to the University of San Francisco’s Center for Law, Tech, and Social Good, whose mission is to equip future lawyers and leaders with the essential knowledge and tools to advance social good through emerging technologies.
A pioneer in legal tech go-to-market strategy, Lydia brings more than 30 years of experience at the intersection of law, data, and innovation. She is a two-time CMO, category designer, and GTM operator who has built and scaled sales, marketing, and customer success organizations from the ground up.
Over the course of her career, Lydia has helped launch and scale multiple category-defining legal technologies—from next-generation legal research to advanced legal analytics—and has built go-to-market engines that contributed to five successful legal tech M&A outcomes.
As an operator, Lydia helped build the legal industry’s first dedicated Customer Success team, establishing a benchmark for driving product adoption and long-term customer value. Her teams went on to drive more than 90% adoption of legal technology within law firms and legal organizations.
Today, working with AI-native legal technology companies, Lydia helps founders design go-to-market strategies that translate innovation into real-world use. Across her portfolio, companies are achieving 75–90% product utilization and adoption, demonstrating that successful AI transformation depends as much on people, trust, and workflow integration as it does on technology.
Recognized with numerous industry honors, including ILTA’s Influential Woman in Legal Tech, the B2B Innovator Award in the “SMB Maestro” category, and The Fearless 50 Customer-Led Marketing Leaders, and a recent winner of Momentum's GTM AI Awards. Lydia is widely recognized for advancing AI adoption, scaling companies, and driving customer-centric growth in legal technology.
She is also a graduate of the Category Design Academy and a GTM Partners Certified Partner. Today, she helps legal AI founders unlock millions in revenue through category design, go-to-market strategy, storytelling, and her proprietary framework, Legal Tech Revenue Science™.
