Seth Eichenholtz is the Director of the Data Security Architecture team at Mastercard. He focuses on developing enterprise data security standards and requirements for data across the known, shadow, and regulated spectrum (including both on-prem and cloud). Responsibilities include the discovery, encryption, logging, loss prevention, retention, access, authentication, and authorization for data stores that contain customer and other sensitive information to support real-time data detection and response services for the organization.
Seth has previously led both Mastercard's eDiscovery and Insider Threat teams since 2016. Before joining Mastercard, Seth spent over 5 years as Vice President and eDiscovery Manager at Swiss Re. During his time at Swiss Re, Seth focused on managing all facets of eDiscovery for matters encompassing claims-based disputes, litigation, and regulatory and investigative matters across all Swiss Re entities globally. Seth has extensive experience in drafting and managing legal holds, establishing collection, processing, culling, and data transfer strategies and processes. He is a noted expert in internal investigations and processes, and has supervised various special projects involving Information Governance, including data dispositions, and liaising with several business units regarding key initiatives (including privacy, data protection and related best practices).
Seth started his career as a tax attorney with PricewaterhouseCoopers and has extensive litigation and investigation experience managing and providing computer forensic and eDiscovery services since 2000.
Seth enjoys spending as much time as possible with his three teenage sons, his lovely wife, and, when not working, can usually be found in the weight room or on the ski slopes.
