Varun is the Co‑Founder and COO of Lua Legal, where he drives the firm’s strategic growth at the intersection of law and technology. Varun started his legal career at Harvard Law School and worked at Skadden & Arps. He holds an M.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech, with a research focus on Artificial Intelligence. Before law school Varun worked at Amazon, architecting and maintaining systems that processed over 16 billion user records each week. His research papers, which have been distributed to thousands of scientists and engineers, focus on the intersection of technology and human interaction. Through Lua Legal’s non-profit wing, Varun is committed to expanding Legal Aid access from 3 million to 30 million people per year by 2030.
