Doron Goldstein is a partner and Americas head of the Data Innovation, Privacy and Cybersecurity practice at Withers. He was recently named the "Client Choice" for Data in New York by Lexology.

Doron helps clients—from startups to multinationals—navigate complex and sometimes daunting challenges involving data management, artificial intelligence and machine learning, data security, and information technology. A former software developer and network administrator, he has been recognized as a "Cybersecurity Trailblazer" by the National Law Journal, "Thought Leader" in Data/Information Technology by Lexology, and "Client Service All-Star" by BTI Consulting. He also served previously as Deputy General Counsel and Privacy Officer of an Am Law 100 firm.

Doron's IT background enables him to develop a deeper understanding of his clients' operations and the risks they face. This combination of business experience, technical expertise, and legal knowledge allows him to provide informed, practical advice. His work spans multiple industries, with particular focus on online services, hospitality, fashion and retail, consumer products, and financial services. He works closely with clients' legal and technology teams to develop and operationalize responsible AI governance and system; implement and manage complex data protection and privacy compliance programs; address data management, cloud and software-as-a-service (SaaS) issues; and negotiate and oversee outsourcing arrangements. When security incidents or data breaches occur, Doron brings extensive experience working with security specialists and forensic experts to address and mitigate incidents, determine likely sources, fulfill legal and compliance notification obligations, manage PR and reputational issues, and handle law enforcement, regulatory, and governmental investigations.
