Deepa leads the Technology, AI and Innovation team in the GEICO Law Department. She advises on strategic technology and AI initiatives, governance frameworks, and partners with business and technology teams to operationalize responsible AI practices.

Prior to joining GEICO, Deepa was Associate General Counsel at AIG, supporting business and functional areas on digitization, automation, and innovative technologies, including AI/ML, IoT, blockchain, and autonomous vehicles. She has extensive experience in structuring and negotiating transactions, advising on governance frameworks, and navigating evolving regulatory environments. Earlier in her career at AIG, Deepa focused on transactional and insurance regulatory matters involving claims administration. She began her legal career as an associate at Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer and Wolff & Samson handling corporate, commercial real estate and redevelopment transactions. She received her JD from Rutgers Law School and her BA in Political Science and Psychology from Boston College.
