Ava joined AT&T in 2022 and has overall responsibility for both the eDiscovery and the Legal Technology
teams. Ava recently joined the leadership team for AT&T LegalEdge, a technology-driven Center of Expertise
within the AT&T Legal Department that is dedicated to delivering high quality legal services at scale with an
AI-first mentality.
Prior to joining AT&T, Ava spent more than a decade as litigator at Sidley Austin LLP, specializing in ediscovery
and information governance. During her time there, she oversaw large cross-functional teams and focused on
coordinating discovery for complex and data-intensive matters, including multiple DOJ Second Requests for
AT&T. Her work included counseling on effective management of eDiscovery processes, navigating emerging
issues, implementing best practices for defensible eDiscovery strategies, and applying the latest technologies
to document collection and review.
Since joining the Legal Department, Ava has developed and refined internal eDiscovery processes that ensure
consistency and defensibility across AT&T’s largest matters while consistently driving down costs through AIdriven
solutions and effective vendor management. Ava is a frequent speaker at leading industry conferences
on emerging issues in legal technology and eDiscovery, and was the co-chair of the Practising Law Institute’s
Government Investigations Program in 2025.
Ava earned her J.D. from Columbia Law School, and graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College, where she
majored in Government and Philosophy.
