A former federal prosecutor, trial lawyer, and experienced appellate advocate, Uchenna defends companies and executives in often high-stakes civil and criminal matters, including class actions and complex fraud cases, and DOJ and State Attorney General proceedings. She also leads or provides strategic counsel in domestic and cross-border compliance investigations, including those involving financial fraud, bribery and corruption (FCPA), potential breaches of fiduciary duties, and internal audits and controls. Uchenna has been trial counsel in state and federal courts, has argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and successfully opposed petitions for writ of certiorari filed before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Recognized by Benchmark Litigation Guide as a “Litigation Star,” Uchenna has repeatedly been selected as one of The Best Lawyers in America since 2021. Prior to those recognitions, Uchenna has been recognized by the Legal 500 as a “Rising Star” and named as one of the National Bar Association’s “40 Under 40—Nation’s Best Advocates.”

Uchenna is committed to civic and community engagement. Appointed by the U.S. District Court, Uchenna serves on the board of directors of the Federal Defenders Program, Inc (NDGA)—a community defender organization solely funded by the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts. She has also been active in various civic and charitable organizations, including UNICEF USA, the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, and the Atlanta Bar Association. Uchenna has also served on the faculty of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and as an Instructor for Emory University School of Law’s Kessler-Eidson Program for Trial Techniques.

Uchenna obtained her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, and her undergraduate degree from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, where she was an Entrance Exhibition Scholar.
