Jen Lenander is the Sr. Director and Chief of Staff at Elastic, the Search AI Company, where she leads both the Legal Operations and Trade Compliance functions in addition to serving as the Chief of Staff to the Chief Legal Officer. Jen has a passion for leveraging technology to streamline processes, specifically championing scalable solutions that address multiple business needs rather than single-use applications. She focuses on building interconnected tech ecosystems that maximize procurement value and drive cross-functional efficiency. She possesses a deep understanding of the legal landscape and a keen eye for identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Prior to joining Elastic, Jen was the Global Head of Legal Operations at CSL, a pharmaceutical company based out of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. In this role, she managed the operational, system, and training support for Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), Matter Management, eBilling, and various other productivity tools. Beyond working with legal technologies, she optimized processes, leveraged data analytics to drive decisions, built workflows using no-code/low-code solutions, and drove the implementation of new systems.

Jen earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, majoring in Communication Studies and minoring in Sociology. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from William Mitchell School of Law, attending classes in the evening while working full-time during the day in various operational roles.
