Paul Renehan is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in the data governance, information protection and eDiscovery industries. He has led and managed several projects and initiatives that improved the quality, security, and compliance of data across various domains and sectors. He has also designed and implemented best practices, frameworks, and policies for data governance and information protection in alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements for many Fortune 100 companies.
Paul has a strong background in data analysis, data architecture, data quality, data privacy, and data security. He is proficient in various tools and technologies for data governance and information protection and is also well-versed in the standards and regulations for data governance and information protection, such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and NIST.
Paul holds a BS from Northeastern University, D'Amore-McKim School of Business in Information Systems. He is also a Microsoft Certified Information Protection Administrator, Microsoft Certified Security Administrator and a Certified eDiscovery Specialist Professional (CEDS) and speaks regularly at various conferences and events.
In his current role at Epiq, Paul leads the Advisory and Implementation team within Information Governance. He oversees the advisory practice which brings data governance and information protection strategies and execution to its clients. He leads a team of data governance and information protection experts who are responsible for ensuring the quality, security, and compliance of data throughout the data lifecycle. He also collaborates with Epiq Risk and Compliance senior management to align data governance and information protection goals and initiatives to our internal customers.
Paul is passionate about data governance and information protection and is always eager to learn new skills and share his knowledge and experience with others. He enjoys being a mentor, coach, and advisor to many aspiring and established data professionals and has spoken annually to graduate students at NEU about international business opportunities and the legal technology industry. He enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with his wife and two children in his spare time.
