Julie Chapman is a commercially focused senior executive and cross-border general counsel with extensive experience in Legal, Governance, and Compliance. Currently serving as the Vice-President and Head of Legal, North America at LexisNexis, Julie is a member of the Global Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the EVP and Global General Counsel. She manages a team of lawyers and oversees all aspects of the legal function, including M&A, licensing, employment, compliance, data security, corporate governance, and risk management.

Julie has a proven track record of leading legal departments and providing strategic legal support to multiple business units. Her expertise in the legal industry is complemented by her role as a thought leader and speaker on generative AI in the legal sector.

Julie holds a JD from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, and has completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School and the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. She is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional.
