Asari A. Aniagolu is a seasoned dispute resolution and commercial transactions practitioner who has successfully counseled domestic and international companies and customers throughout their business lifecycles. Her experience includes representing corporations and multinational organizations in the defense/aerospace, financial, real estate, and media industries in various high-profile civil business disputes and matters.

In her current role as Assistant General Counsel – International Business for the Global Business Development & Strategy and Government Contracts teams for a Fortune 100 aerospace and defense enterprise, she is responsible for the overarching legal support to the U.S.-based business unit legal offices as they pursue international business opportunities and the Regional Executives and International Offices, including providing legal and strategic guidance concerning commercial contracts, framework and offset agreements, and related compliance and regulatory matters. Asari has acted as one of the co-leads for the company’s Women’s Law Group and an alumna of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity 2020 Fellowship class.

Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Asari was a senior litigation and arbitration attorney at major firms in Washington, DC, and New York City, NY. She managed all aspects of civil and white collar defense litigation and internal and government-facing investigations for companies based in North America, Europe, and Africa, as well as contract dispute litigation, mediation, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. Asari received her Juris Doctorate from Columbia University Law School as a Harlan Fiske Scholar with a Parker School of Foreign and Comparative Law Certificate distinction and her Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude in Government and French from Georgetown University.

Asari is actively involved in pro bono volunteer work and diversity and inclusion initiatives. Asari participates as a member of the Young Patrons of the Alvin Ailey Dance Company and a volunteer board member of The Nabor House, a Houston-based community initiative invested in early child development.
