Nicole Langston is the Head of eDiscovery, Counsel at Barclays. The Global eDiscovery Team consists of the Active, Commercial and Practice Management teams, who support legal, compliance, HR and internal stakeholders at the bank. Nicole has over 15 years of experience in the field of eDiscovery, and a deep understanding of the legal and technical challenges that arise from the ever-increasing volume and variety of data in today's digital world. In her role, Nicole is responsible for operationalizing best practices for data preservation, retrieval and data management, and developing innovative strategies for leveraging technology in eDiscovery. Nicole partners with the internal teams to develop processes for preservation, retrieval, and data management while managing risk and controls for the legal department. Nicole also drives strategic projects, collaborating with various teams inside and outside Legal, including implementation of Disposal Hold processes, sunsetting legacy data archives and MS 365 enablement. Additionally, she manages Barclays’ eDiscovery panel vendors and law firm discovery spend with an eye towards reducing risks, managing costs and partnering on innovation and growth.
