Patrick A. Bradford is a founding partner of Bradford Edwards LLP. The firm maintains offices in New York City and Los Angeles.

Mr. Bradford’s practice is focused on complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts. He has recently represented clients in federal courts in New York, California, Florida and Tennessee. These matters included contract disputes, various state law claims, Lanham Act claims, and antitrust claims.

Mr. Bradford has also represented clients before the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). His work includes corporate and FCPA investigations, both nationally and internationally. His vast litigation experience includes securities, accounting malpractice, financial services, real estate, oil & gas, manufacturing, technology and industrial services, among others.

Mr. Bradford leads the firm’s antitrust practice, and has advised clients on antitrust matters for over twenty-five years, including M&A, Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) filings, federal court litigation, investigations, compliance advice and counseling. He was co-chair of the antitrust practice group for one of his former firms, Pierce Bainbridge Beck Price & Hecht.

Mr. Bradford has represented corporations before the FTC and the Antitrust Division of DOJ in all aspects of merger review. He has worked in many industries, including media, entertainment, pharma, freight, non-profits, government contracting, and sports. In March 2021, Mr. Bradford led a group of African American antitrust lawyers in filing an amicus brief in the U.S. Supreme Court in support of Division I college athletes, NCAA v. Alston, 141 S. Ct. 2141 (2021). Justice Kavanaugh cited their brief in his concurring opinion.

Mr. Bradford has taught antitrust law at Fordham Law School as an adjunct professor and at Howard Law School as a guest lecturer. He has also taught Law & Technology at Columbia University as an Instructor. He also guest lectures on Non-Profit Governance at Yale Drama’s School of Theater Management.


He is a graduate of Harvard College and the New York University School of Law.

He began his legal career as a federal district court law clerk to the late Hon. Clifford Scott Green (E.D. Pa.).
