Eryn Carter, CAE - Eryn is the Executive Director of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) and of the Foundation of ALA, headquartered in Chicago. Eryn has more than 25 years of association leadership experience. Before joining ALA in 2022, Eryn held an executive management role with a global financial services association of nearly 90,000 members in 80 countries. Eryn is a graduate of Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Anthropology, and she has been a Certified Association Executive (CAE) since 2011. She is also a long-time member and volunteer with the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and the Association Forum of Chicagoland. She is also a member of CHIEF, the largest global network of women in C-suite and executive leadership positions. Eryn works alongside ALA’s Board of Directors and leads its staff toward articulating and representing ALA’s vision for creating excellence, driving innovation, and empowering leaders in law.
