Jeffrey Nass currently heads the Legal eDiscovery function within the Litigation and Regulatory Enforcement Group at Societe Generale, a large multinational bank headquartered in Paris. In his role, Jeff advises on strategy and issue resolution across all phases of the EDRM and oversees the execution of tactical eDiscovery tasks on domestic and cross-border matters. Much of Jeff’s current work focuses on EU Data Protection, the French Blocking Statute and the development of GDPR compliant data collection, processing and review workflows. Jeff has over 20 years of experience in the fields of Records Management and Electronic Discovery. Before joining Societe Generale, Jeff served as Global eDiscovery Counsel for Deutsche Bank, Boehringer Ingelheim and Forest Laboratories. Jeff has also served as eDiscovery Counsel at Debevoise & Plimpton, where he advised organizations on all aspects of evidence lifecycle management, including the development of record retention policies, legal hold strategies, discovery protocols, and document review techniques. Jeff received his J.D., cum laude, from Pace University School of Law, his B.S. in Computer Engineering from Lehigh University, and is a member of the State Bars of New York and New Jersey.
