Kay Kim serves as the Chief Practice Innovation Officer at Paul Hastings LLP where she sets the Firm’s strategy on innovation in legal service delivery and oversees the following functions at the Firm: Practice Innovation and Knowledge Management, Practice Technology Solutions, Research Services, Practice Management, Litigation Service Delivery (including eDiscovery), Alternative Staffing Models (including a Transactional Services Center), and Change Management. With over 25 years in the legal industry in both attorney and business operations roles, Kay has a deep understanding of legal issues, technology solutions, process improvement, change management, and data-driven decision making. She has a proven track record in strategically aligning resources with business priorities and responding with innovative solutions benefiting both internal and external clients. Kay and her team focus on raising awareness and promoting adoption of those solutions within the lawyer community for they know that without adoption, there is no innovation. As an innovator, Kay is constantly thinking about how to do things in a more efficient manner. As an achiever, she is driven to convert ideas into action. Prior to these leadership roles she practiced for over 10 years as a corporate attorney at DLA Piper in New York, Crowell & Moring in Washington, DC., and in-house at Direct Holdings Americas Inc. (formerly, Time Life Inc.).
