Matt Lucas
Matt first came to prominence as George Dawes in the seminal comedy Shooting Stars. However, he is perhaps best known for his work alongside David Walliams, co-creating the three-time BAFTA winning BBC comedy Little Britain which ran for 3 series and 2 Christmas specials.
Matt has starred in numerous critically acclaimed projects, with film credits including Alice in Wonderland, Paddington and Bridesmaids, TV credits including Doctor Who, and theatre projects including Les Misérables, fulfilling a childhood dream. Additionally, Matt has created a string of bestselling children’s books, including Thank You, Baked Potato, and his memoir, Little Me.
Less known, he's had cameos in numerous music videos, including the Damien Hirst-directed Blur's "Country House", "Jesusland" by Ben Folds "I'm with Stupid" by the Pet Shop Boys and "Vindaloo" and "Naughty Christmas" by Fat Les.
More recently, Matt has co-hosted the award winning Great British Bake Off for Channel Four and 2 series of Sky Max’s Fantasy Football.
Matt recently starred alongside Timothée Chalamet in Warner Bros’ musical fantasy Wonka and will be seen later this year in Ridley Scott’s Gladiator 2. Matt’s debut children’s musical novel, The Boy Who Slept Through Christmas, has been shortlisted for the 2024 British Book Awards.
