Lisa heads up the Legal and Technical team and leads the delivery of Jersey Finance’s technical services to its Members. Her role is to assist in representing the finance industry’s needs and concerns with regard to legislation, regulation and other key areas of innovation that can enhance its jurisdictional product and services offering in order to ensure that it is represented to best effect. Furthermore, to promote Jersey as an international, leading financial centre of excellence.

She works closely with the CEO, Joe Moynihan and Deputy CEO, Amy Bryant as well as the Financial Services Industry in Jersey, the States of Jersey Government bodies and the Jersey Financial Services Commission to ensure effective and proactive consultation and communication is maintained.

Prior to moving to Jersey in 1993, Lisa practised with leading law firm, Mayer Brown JSM in Hong Kong and as a barrister in London. She qualified as a Jersey advocate in 2000 and is a very experienced commercial litigator, having acted for high-net worth individuals, leading banks and local trust companies over the last 25 years. Lisa is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences both within and outside the Island.

Lisa has been described by the “Offshore Legal Business” as one of the “Channel Islands’ legal elite line up” and is an author of various articles on trust litigation and regulation items within the leading publications. She has been referred to as a “leader in their field” within Chambers UK, Europe and Global and has been recognised as a “leading individual” by the Legal 500 directory.

In February 2019, she won the gold award at the Citywealth PowerWomen awards in her category “Woman of the Year-Government, Regulatory and not for profit Organisations”.

With effect from 23 May 2019, Lisa was appointed Chair of the Institute of Directors (“IoD”) in Jersey.
