The panel look at problem with the current systems in each of their jurisdictions and in particular the weaknesses that can be exploited by unmeritorious litigants
- Crippling coasts orders in the UK and extremely limited costs sanctions in the US
- A solution that would allow greater access to justice for both the UK and US - the Mid Atlantic Solution
The audience will be polled for their view on various topics including the Mid Atlantic solution and the abolition of costs recovery.
