Heather Shea is an Associate General Counsel and Senior Compliance Officer in the
Global Compliance Group of AIG. Heather leads AIG’s international Privacy
Compliance program and global Records and Information Management Compliance
program. She regularly advises AIG and its businesses on privacy, information
security and records management compliance matters.
Prior to joining AIG in 2013, Heather was an associate in the Litigation Department
of Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP where she worked predominantly on securities
litigation cases. During her time at Weil, Heather was seconded to AIG’s Corporate
Litigation Group, where she worked on complex litigation, electronic discovery and
records management matters. Heather was a Legal Fellow to the New York Civil
Liberties Union and an Investigation Analyst at the Financial Industry Regulatory
Authority (FINRA).
Heather is a graduate of Georgetown University, the London School of Economics
and Political Science, and Fordham University School of Law. She is a Certified
Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US and CIPP/Europe) and is licensed to
practice law in New York and Massachusetts.
