Steve Vandenberg is an Advanced Compliance Global Black Belt with Microsoft Security Solutions Area. Steve enables his clients’ digital transformation and competitiveness using a full range of compliance strategies and tools including information protection, governance, discovery, insider threat management and regulatory compliance systems. He works with Microsoft product groups to enhance their compliance and security solutions.
Steve was a Cybersecurity Architect with Microsoft before taking on his current role.
Before joining Microsoft Steve led the security teams in several companies and worked in the US Government focusing on critical infrastructure protection, information security and regional security issues.
Steve is a frequent speaker on cybersecurity, privacy and compliance conferences.
He received a BS in Engineering from Columbia University and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. Steve holds a Professional Engineer’s license, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional, (CISSP) among his other certifications
