Jonathan is an attorney with twenty-five years’ experience as a litigator, including more than three-and-a-half years as a Deputy Attorney General in the New Jersey Division of Law, prosecuting Consumer and Securities Fraud. His experience in the technology sector dates back to 1997 when he became general counsel for a New York City-area internet service provider. Since then, Jonathan gained additional substantial experience in the areas of supervision and surveillance with companies on both the hardware and software solution sides. Prior to joining Smarsh, Jonathan had dual status as eDiscovery Manager and staff attorney in the Law Department and ITS Department respectively of C.R. Bard, Inc., managing the company’s eDiscovery needs and EU data privacy requirements. Jonathan earned his B.A. in government from Cornell University, and his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law – Newark.
