William J. Murray is the Compliance Counsel for Crowell & Moring, resident in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Bill focuses on the firm’s internal compliance policies and procedures, including data privacy, anti-bribery/anti-money laundering, HIPAA, and other areas.

Prior to joining Crowell & Moring, Bill spent six years in private practice advising clients on anti-corruption and compliance issues in the pharmaceutical, technology, and consumer goods industries. Bill has significant experience in government enforcement proceedings and complex litigation. Bill attended Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, before attending Georgetown University Law Center, where he graduated magna cum laude. Bill is a member of the Maryland and District of Columbia bars.
