Tracy Springer is a senior in-house finance attorney at HSBC in New York supporting lending for the commercial and investment banks. Ms. Springer recently completed a one-year assignment at HSBC’s headquarters in London as lead lawyer for a large global change project using digital technology and alternative legal service providers to improve efficiency and reduce costs in delivery of legal documentation and end-to end client services. Her experience includes advising on standardizing and automating templates, workflow management tools, target operating models, playbooks, processes and e-signature. She is passionate about the need for law firms and legal departments to embrace change and incorporate new technologies and ways of working in managing high volume, low risk legal work to better meet their clients’ needs and improve the customer experience.
As a finance lawyer for HSBC in New York, Ms. Springer supports a busy lending practice focusing on cross-border and multinational financings, as well as digital and fintech partnerships. She has extensive experience with a broad range of commercial lending transactions, including syndicated and bilateral loans, asset-based and cash flow financings, investment grade and leveraged lending, acquisition financing, working capital loans, first and second lien financings, guarantees, trade and receivables finance, warehouse facilities, structured finance and securitization. Her expansive industry experience includes coverage of a variety of sectors, including technology, media and communications, logistics, manufacturing, retail, intellectual property, professional services, energy and oil and gas.
Ms. Springer received her B.A. degree, with honors, from University of Chicago and her J.D degree, cum laude, from Benjamin N. Cardozo Law School.
