Donna Payne is a recognized expert in IT, with specialization in legal software and technology. Payne speaks about privacy concerns, metadata, STEM and leadership. She has keynoted at conferences, spoken to Congress, and presented for government and security agencies worldwide. Donna authored and co-authored on 13 books on technology and is working on her first non-computer related book.

Donna founded PayneGroup nearly twenty-five years ago and worked with clients around the world throughout her time with the company. She is the recent recipient of a Lifetime Achievement award (2019) from the International Legal Technology Association and had previous won Thought Leader of the Year (2013) from ILTA. Payne also received the first Lex Proficio award recipient for lifetime achievement (ABA Tech Show) and Law Technology News magazine’s inaugural Consultant of the Year.

Before starting PayneGroup, Donna worked in government, telecom, Fortune 500 and even did a stint as a rock and roll singer.
