Governmental use of ADS in the realm of criminal justice and talent acquisition is likewise controversial.  Consequently, there’s been a wave of litigation in this area. Accordingly, task forces and a growing contingent of lawyers, policymakers and academics have come to the fore to advocate for more research, safeguards, and regulations to combat the potentially adverse effects of ADS.
