Fiona trained at Linklaters and spent three years in the commercial disputes team before pivoting to public and information law in 2016. With the GDPR on the horizon, she specialised in data protection and has spent the last decade advising on all things privacy and AI, first as part of the renowned data protection team at Bristows, focusing on the tech and life sciences sectors, and then moving in-house. After 3 years as the Global Privacy Counsel at Informa LLP, a FTSE 100 events, tech and data company, Fiona is now the Global Head of Privacy, leading both the legal and operational privacy teams across more than 30 jurisdictions.
Fiona deals with all aspects of data protection and privacy, including data breaches, individual rights requests, personal data and AI risk management, contractual negotiation, ePrivacy compliance, international data transfers and complex data sharing agreements. She builds strong cross-functional relationships, to increase influence and ensure her team is a trusted partner to the wider business.
